We had a blast celebrating Thanksgiving today! The students had fun making their own pies and Indian hats for our own thanksgiving dinner. We made sure to pray before we ate and said what we were thankful for just like the Pilgrims and Indians did at their first Thanksgiving. The students enjoyed learning about them the last two weeks and their journey. It was a great day and I hope they enjoyed it! I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a safe break! I am very thankful for all of my wonderful students and their families I get to work with each day. I am truly blessed with all of you in my life!
One of my favorite activities to do with both the kindergarteners and the seniors is our Thanksgiving turkeys. Each student was given a turkey and they were told that they needed to disguise their turkey so they wouldn't be caught for Thanksgiving dinner. The seniors from Aquinas helped the kindergartners come up with ideas and make their own costumes for each turkey. I think our turkey's look pretty safe this year! The kindergartners and I would like to say THANK YOU to all the men and women who have served and fought for our country! We made sure to pray for all the veterans and their families on this very special day!
