The students enjoyed two special activities we did in Religion. Both activities came from Miss Mika. I love learning from other teachers and Miss Mika's family helped provide the materials. First for Holy Thursday, Miss Mika and her Mom made unleavened bread for us to try. We read the story of the last supper and ate the bread just like Jesus and the Apostles did. Then, Miss Mika's sister brought us a sand dollar.. Below is what the sand dollar represents. When you break open the shell there should be five little doves found in the middle. The students and I were amazed to find the doves! These two activities were fun and memorable for the students!
The kindergarteners earned all their marbles in class which results in a class prize! This time, the students didn't have to use their desk for the day. We laid on the floor and did our phonograms, spelling, and math sheets which was fun for the students. Good job Kindergarteners!
Hello again! I have to apologize for the lack of posts and pictures I have been putting up this year. It has been a crazy last couple of months and I am finally feeling caught up with everything. We are loving having Miss Mika as the other kindergarten teacher and I have enjoyed getting to know her these last few months. I am officially done with my Master's paper which is a huge relief! I only have one more class to go before I graduate in May. Finally, I'm excited to be feeling great and everything is going so well for me and Baby Smith! I love when the students ask me about the Baby and I can't wait to share the exciting news when he or she will be here this summer! Here are some pictures from the last couple of months. The Kindergarteners did an amazing job performing the Stations of the Cross this week! We are so proud of them! We will be celebrating their success soon on a special day! Thank you for coming to watch! |
