We had an artist come to our classroom this week! Norris Chee is a very talented artist that taught us a little about his culture and artwork he makes. We loved seeing all the pictures he made of Native Americans and a variety of animals. He even made a buffalo for our class. We watched as he drew the picture right in front of us. It was a great experience for the kids and we are thankful for his visit!
On Friday, some of the high schoolers came to visit us during our lunch time. They came to celebrate their homecoming week. The students were able to eat with the seniors and they even got their own sticker! We also had fun seeing the Aquinas lion! Thank you for coming!
This week, the kindergarteners learned all about fire safety. Sparky the dog taught us what to do in case we see a fire or if we hear a fire alarm. We had fun making Sparky the dog and our own firehats. We would like to thank all the firefighters for helping us! We will always keep you in our prayers!
Hello again! I'm finally back in the classroom and so excited to start sharing what we've been doing! I am loving being a Mom, but it was nice to see my students again! I will be updating more often so check back every week. This week we learned all about pumpkins. We made a funny pumpkin for the hallway and we even got to explore a real pumpkin. The kids loved digging and finding the seeds! We also played a math game with a partner to practice our numbers. Kindergarten is an awesome year and can't wait for you to see more things! The seniors from Aquinas came to visit us this week! We made noodle skeletons with them. They turned out awesome! The students love visiting with their partner and always have a big smile on their face. We can't wait for them to come back! |
